“Paris Can Wait” a new romantic comedy film set in France in cinemas in Estonia

October 12, 2017

A charming road-movie with beautiful scenes of French countryside and food culture. From 12th of October in cinemas all over Estonia!

Anne is at a crossroads in her mature life. Her daughter has left for university studies and the family nest feels empty as Anne’s workaholic husband Michael who is a succesful film producer is seldom at home. When the husband is suddenly asked to leave Cannes film festival to get to one of his movie sets, Anne is offered a ride by her husband’s friend and business partner Jacques, a charmer who makes no effort in hiding that he is attracted to his new travel companion. Although the drive from Cannes to Paris could be just a few hours, the journey ends up taking two days filled with off-road site-seeing, visiting churches and enjoying wonderful food and wines, with continuous and relentless flirting by the French man. Jacques describes Anne as a “crème brulée”, well worth the wait for a true “foodie”. Will Anne be able to resist all the temptations and should she?

French film critics have proclaimed this a roadmovie that although being full of clichés on the one hand is also genuinely French and artful on the other hand, leaving the audience feeling that life is wonderful!

Director: Eleanor Coppola
Cast: Diane Lane, Alec Baldwin, Arnaud Viard
