Ciné club de l’Institut : soirée court-métrages

December 4, 2025

For the next session of our film club, we invite you to an evening dedicated to short films, featuring a diverse selection of animation and fiction works that explore human relationships, individual trajectories, and the way we look at reality.

Programme:

Ville éternelle by Garance Kim
On a public holiday in the outskirts of Paris, Lili waits for a bus to the airport. She runs into Thibault, a former classmate she doesn’t remember at all. When the bus fails to appear, she decides to walk. Thibault follows her, almost against her will. This unexpected journey becomes a moment of unforeseen reconnection.

Montsouris by Guil Sela
In Parc Montsouris, two young filmmakers look for people to interview for their documentary. They stumble upon Pierre and Martin, an unusual duo on the verge of an improbable moment. A subtle comedy about encounters and surprises.

Omnibus by Sam Karmann
The protagonist’s life rests on a fragile balance: his job depends entirely on the SNCF timetable. When the schedule changes, everything falls apart. A sharp and ironic take on administrative absurdity and the fragility of everyday life.

Horacio by Caroline Cherrier
Guillaume kills Horacio “because he was shouting too loudly.” A bizarre yet banal crime that continues to haunt him. The film explores guilt, the triviality of tragedy, and the intimate mechanics of irreversible actions.

La Grande Arche by Camille Authouart
In the heart of La Défense, Europe’s largest open-air museum, the director wonders how she could have overlooked so many monumental artworks. A personal wander through urban space and the act of seeing.

Des filles et des chiens by Sophie Fillières
Two teenage girls playfully compare impossible choices; a seemingly light-hearted exchange that reveals deeper adolescent questions. A precise, lively and tender graduation film from La Fémis.

Gigi by Cynthia Calvi
GiGi recounts her transition to the fulfilled woman she is today. An intimate narrative, marked by humour and sensitivity, tracing a journey of affirmation and liberation.

Tournesol by Natalia Chernysheva
A “different” sunflower chooses to look at its environment from a new angle, opening the door to an unexpected world. A poetic and luminous animated film.

The screening will take place on Thursday, 4 December at 6:30 p.m., at our premises, Kuninga 4, 10146 Tallinn.

The screening will be followed by a friendly discussion in French, offering the audience an opportunity to reflect on the films and practice the language in a warm and accessible setting.
