Call for Applications – French+Sciences scholarships 2024

You don’t have plans for your summer yet? Why not go to France for three weeks, to discover new places and learn more about French technological knowledge and durability? Apply for the French + Sciences grants Estonia and to part to this adventure for free!

 

What is the French+Sciences Program?

French+Sciences refers to 5 summer programs, accessible for international students interested in scientific fields.

Each summer school lasts 3 weeks and mixes French classes, research center facilities visits and cultural activities. All the participants are considered as future professionals working in high-level private companies or public institutions.

By participating to one of the summer schools, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover a beautiful French region: Auvergne, Brittany, Burgundy, Normandy or Occitania.
  • Learn more about high-level scientific and technologic topics, thanks to private companies’ visits, conferences, and meetings with reconned specialists.
  • Start learning French, or improve your French language capacities.
  • Live this life-changing experience with other international students from all over the world.
  • Get 6 ECTS credits.

 

Where and when? Which topics?

Depending on the chosen summer school, you will either be hosted in students’ housing or host family.

Our 5 scientific modules are built around innovative themes:

  • Focus on Mountain Science: this session will take place from the 3/06 to the 21/06/2024 in Chambery and is organized by Accents.
  • Science and Technology of the Sea: this session will take place from the 17/06 to the 05/07/2024 in Brest and is organized by Ciel Bretagne.
  • Micro, Nano & Smart Technologies for Industrial Applications: this session will take place from the 3/06 to the 28/26/2024 in Besancon and is organized by CLA.
  • Focus on transport and energy: this session will take place from the 27/05 to the 14/06/2024 in Rouen and is organized by French in Normandy.
  • Sustainable development: this session will take place from the 09/06 to the 28/06/2024 in Montpellier and is organized by Accent français.

Who can register?

  • Any pupil or student above 18 years old, interested in scientific disciplines and sustainability.
  • A good level of English (B2) is requested, as all the scientific content will be taught in English.
  • No French level is required!

 

How to apply for the French + Sciences grants Estonia?

The French Institute of Estonia will offer 2 grants to the best candidates for French+Sciences programs 2024. These grants cover all expenses: transport, housing, cultural activity, French teaching, and daily allowance.

The call for application is open until March 22 (23h59). The results will be disclosed at the end of March.
