PARROT mobility programme 2023-2024: deadline extended to June 5th !

The goal of this biennial programme is to develop scientific and technological exchanges between french and estonian research laboratories, by promoting new cooperation and the commitment of young researchers and doctoral students. Applications for the 2023-2024 session are open until 31/05/2022.

The Parrot programme is the Franco-Estonian Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC). It is implemented in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (Mesri), and in the partner country by the Estonian Research Council (ETag).

Eligibility criteria

  • The call for applications is open to researchers from research laboratories attached to higher education institutions or research organizations.
  • All scientific fields are concerned by this programme.
  • Companies may participate in the project, provided that they are associated with an academic partner.
  • Projects that have already received support under this program are not eligible for a new application immediately after their completion. New collaborations will in all cases be given priority.

Particular attention will be paid to scientific co-publications written within the framework of this project.

Eligible expenses

The resources granted by France cover exclusively the payment of residence allowances and travel expenses for French researchers:

  • Residence allowances: €125/day,
  • Travel: reimbursement of actual costs up to €450 and insurance costs during their stay in Estonia.

The resources granted by Estonia cover exclusively the payment of residence allowances and travel expenses for Estonian researchers :

  • Residence allowances: €100/day (including accommodation costs),
  • Travel: reimbursement of actual costs up to a maximum of €500 per return journey Estonia / France, as well as medical insurance costs.

As an indication, the average annual funding granted per project for the French and Estonian teams was €5000 in 2021.
