French Festival of Science 2025 – Intelligence(s)

This year, the French Institute of Estonia, in partnership with Supernova Kino and Uus Laine, invites you to explore the many faces of intelligence during the French Festival of Science 2025.

From October 7 to 9, join us for three free public events that connect science, culture and curiosity:

October 7 at 6:00 pm – Film Screening & Discussion

🎬 Watch My American Uncle by Alain Resnais, in french with english subtitles, inspired by the ideas of neuroscientist Henri Laborit, followed by a conversation (in English) with filmmaker, screenwriter and professor Dirk Hoyer at Kino Supernova (Narva mnt 27, 4th floor, N406, Tallinn 10120).

October 8 at 6:00 pm – AI Exhibition Opening & Talk

🤖 Discover the exhibition “AI at the Risk of Escalation” (english and french) at the French Institute (Institut Français d’Estonie Kuninga 4, Tallinn 10146), and take part in a discussion (in French) with Prof. Amirouche Moktefi (TalTech) on the role of AI in our societies.

October 9 at 7:00 pm – Science Pub Quiz

🍻 Bring your logic, fun facts and curiosity to Uus Laine (Vana-Kalamaja 1, 10412 Tallinn) for a science quiz night, in English, with prizes, drinks and friendly minds!

📍 All events are free and open to all. Talks are in French or English (with subtitles or translation where needed).
