First promotion of the “France Excellence Europa” scholarship programme

Developed by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and launched during the French Presidency of the European Union (January 1–June 30, 2022), the “France Excellence Europa” scholarship program allows students from 26 European Union countries to obtain scholarships to study at the Master’s level in a French institution of higher education.    

 

 

 

PRESENTATION OF THE PROMOTION:

These laureates, from 21 EU Member States, are the first to benefit from the new France Excellence Europa Scholarship.

The France Excellence Europa Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Applications were pre-selected by the university cooperation departments of the French embassies and were then assessed within the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs by cooperation specialists in the eligible fields.

This year, 52 students were selected for the 2022 academic year, including 2 Estonian beneficiaries.

Congratulations to Eero Sild, our first France Excellence Europa Scholarship Awardee!

His strong interests in policy making and international relations has led him to study International Security at Science Po Paris for the two years to come. His past work on EU-African relations and the French-led coalition in Sahel will be for sure a great asset for the pursuit of his studies in Master.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Katharina Kala, our first French Excellence Europa Scholarship Awardee!

With a bachelor’s degree in art history, she will be starting her Master’s degree at Sciences Po School of Management and Innovation in the two-year program of Communications, Media and Creative industries. She emphasizes the importance of cultural policies and plans to strengthen the collaborations between France and Estonia in the course of her studies!

 

 

 

The laureates will notably receive:

  • Payment of a half-yearly allowance of €6,850
  • Payment of an installation allowance of €1,700
  • Exemption from registration fees for national diplomas in universities and public institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education
  • Priority assistance in finding accommodationin CROUS university residences (rent to be paid by the scholarship holder)
  • Enrollment in an insurance plan during the first three months of your stay in France (pending enrollment in the general social security system) for non-European Health Insurance Card holders
  • Enrollment in supplemental health insurance
  • Exemption from the CVEC – Contribution de Vie Etudiante et de Campus [1]
  • Special discounts on cultural activities organized by Campus France.
