This year for Novembre Numérique (Digital November), the French Institute will be in Narva as part of the KinoFF film festival. We will present original creations of VR.

KinoFF is becoming one of the side festivals of PÖFF, like Tartu love film festival Tartuff and Haapsalu horror and fantasy film festival HÕFF.

This project is part of Novembre Numérique – Digital November which objective is to present digital cultures in their most diverse forms around the globe.

What is VR?

Virtual reality is a technology that simulates the presence of the spectator in a virtual world, in order to totally immerse him/her in a content, story, artwork. The spectator must equip himself with a virtual reality helmet that allows him to have a 360° vision, placing him at the heart of the action, and isolating him from the real environment. The experience can be narrative or interactive, and sometimes hybrid, mixing a tangible creation (dance, theatre…) with the virtual universe. Immersion and sensory isolation, combined with the quality of the content, make virtual reality productions a strong, rare and exciting experience.
