NuQ Treff Festival of Visual Theatre and Puppetry

May 30, 2017 / June 4, 2017

From May to June, The NuQ Treff Festival celebrates the arts of visual theater and Puppetry. With support from the French institute of Estonia, many French artists will be present this year!

The NuQ Treff Festival presents and defends modern puppet spectacles and visual theater art, whilst on the one side preserving and transfering its traditions of puppetry and on the other, by demonstrating new and surprising forms of theatrics to a wider public, which might not have been familiar with their existence.

The public can further diversify their experience in addition to attending the spectacles by also participating in various meets with the artists, attending the conferences, expos and workshops in the festivities’ workframe.

The NuQ Treff Festival presents a theater which tells stories using visual language and finds new forms of content. The program is concentrated on modern puppet shows and theatre of objects, yet the whole selection also puts forth performance art and numerous other art forms.

This year many French theater groups and artists will be present!
