#NaistEST: free documentary screenings on gender equality

#NaistEST is the hashtag that gathers several initiatives into a large campaign in favor of equality of rights between men and women in Estonia. (naistest means "about women" while the capital -EST is a reminder of Estonia)

As part of the #naistEST project, free documentary screenings will take place at the Museum of Occupations. All documentaries will be subtitled in English.
 
 
  • March 16th at 6pm: “Des Femmes et des Hommes” (“Women and Men”), a French documentary on the situation of women around the globe (1h55, Frédérique Bedos, 2015)
  • March 30th at 6pm, Swedish documentary on the life of Astrid Lindgren (2015, Krisina Lindström). Astrid Lindgren is a Swedish novelist and scriptwriter. She’s famous worldwide for having created Pippi Longstocking and for the renewal of youth literature she enabled thanks to her insolent characters.
  • April 11th at 6pm: “The Long Road”, a Danish documentary on the history of feminism in Denmark (Mette Knudsen, 2016). The movie’s director will be present.
  • April 27th at 6pm: “Sois belle et tais-toi” (“Be beautiful and shut up”), a French documentary by Delphine Seyrig (1h55, 1976). French and American female comedians are interviewed about the condition of women in the film industry.
