“Ismael’s Ghosts” now in theaters in Estonia!

"Ismael's Ghosts" in Estonian cinemas from August 4th. This movie directed by renowned French director Arnaud Desplechin was the opening film of the last Cannes Festival and made a really good impression.

Arnaud Desplechin, director of Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian and a christmas tale, presents his new movie in Estonia starring his favorite actor, Mathieu Amalric, but also Charlotte Gainsbourg and the well-known Marion Cotillard. Ismael’s Ghosts has already received excellent reviews from French and European critics, praising the complex plot involving memories, madnesses and illusions. 

SYNOPSIS : The film tells the tale of a widowed film director who is in the middle of making a film about an atypical diplomat inspired by his brother. While he has started a new life with Sylvia, he still mourns the death of a former lover, Carlotta, who passed away 20 years earlier. When Carlotta returns from the dead, and causes Sylvia to run away, he starts slowly to sink into madness.
