In March we celebrate the French language with a rich cultural programme!

Week I / 2-8 March

  • 3 March at 6 p.m: Francophonie Month at the Sõprus Cinema will be opened by the Canadian film Hochelaga, terre des âmes (Hochelaga, Land Of Souls). FREE!
  • 3-8 March: Journal Intime PLAYTIME jazz tour all over Estonia: 3 March in Jõgeva, 4 March in Käina, 5 March at Ait in Tallinn, 6 March in Põlva, 7 March in Abja-Paljuoja, 8 March in Türi.
  • 4 March at 9:30 p.m: the Belgian film Girl on ETV2 Francophonie programme.

Week II / 9-15 March

  • 10 March at 6 p.m: Francophonie Month at the Sõprus Cinema continues with the Swiss film Le Milieu de l’horizon (Beyond The Horizon). FREE!
  • 10 March at 7 p.m: concert with the most beautiful songs of Michel Legrand. TICKETS
  • 11 March 11 at 6 p.m: the Belgian documentary HARRY Gruyaert. Photographer screening at KUMU. FREE!
  • 11-12 March at 6:30 p.m: Jean-Paul Gaultier: Freak and Chic screenings at the Sõprus Cinema. TICKETS
  • 11 March 9:30 p.m: the French film Juste la fin du monde (It’s Only The End Of The World) on ETV2.
  • 12 March at 6 p.m: Book club at the French Institute: the Canadian author Gaétan Soucy and his La Petite Fille qui aimait trop les allumettes (The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches). hich Loved Too Much The Matches). The discussion will be held in Estonian!

Week III / 16-22 March

  • 17 March at 6 p.m: Francophonie Month at the Sõprus Cinema and the premiere of the French film Deux (Two Of Us) with the presence of director Filippo Meneghetti. TICKETS 
  • 18 March at 9:30 p.m: the French film Les Filles du soleil (Girls Of The Sun) on ETV2.
  • 18 March at the European School: a play by VHK School.
  • 18 March at 5:30 p.m: the screening of Seule à mon mariage at the Romanian Embassy.
  • 19 March at 6 p.m: Francophonie apéro at the French Institute.
  • 20 March: Canadian writer Lula Carballo at Gustav Adolf Grammar School. 
  • 20 March at 7 p.m: concert of the Estonian National Orchestra with Leon Botstein and the talented French pianist Lucas Debargue. TICKETS
  • 21 March from 11 a.m to 5 p.m: French Language Day.

Week IV / 23-29 March

The month of Francophonie will be closed on 31 March at 6:00 p.m at the Sõprus Cinema by the Tunisian film Narcisse (Narcissus). FREE!
