Digital Squads: the French Institute supports a cross-european dialogue on a common digital strategy

A joint initiative of several European organizations including the French Digital Council (CNNum), the European Digital Squads will officially be launched in Tallinn on Friday, September 29th.

This ad-hoc network of European organizations, which core expertise is the digital transformation of society and the economy (the CNNum is in charge of advising the French government regarding all digital affairs), will reflect on policy recommendations to enrich the works of the European Commission and Member States regarding a European strategy for a digital single market.

Artificial Intelligence, the accountability of platforms and convergence between digital and ecological transitions might be among the first topics the Digital Squads would work on.

The French Institute in Estonia is co-organizing the launch event of the European Digital Squads, along with the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the French Digital Council and the Foresight Centre of the Estonian Parliament. The kick-off will take place in the morning of the Tallinn Digital Summit, major event of the Estonian presidency of the Council of the EU.

Although this event is in a format restricted to professionals associated with the Squads, it includes a debate that will be video recorded and shared afterwards.
