A school curriculum in French in Tallinn starting September 2018

For the first time in Estonia, the Tallinn European School opens a school curriculum in French in September 2018

The Tallinn European School (TES) opens a French section in addition to its already existing English section. Here is everything you need to know:

  • The French section opens in September 2018
  • It includes Nursery and Primary levels (Secondary levels will be opened in the following years)
  • At Nursery level, the everyday language is French
  • At Primary level, there are 4 topics taught in French (French L1, Maths, Discovery of the World, Ethics) and 3 topics taught in English (Music, Arts and Handicraft, Physical Education)
  • Children will learn a second language (English or German) starting from the first grade
  • For the schoolyear 2018/2019 there will be two combined classes in Nursery and Primary levels (first and second grade). More classes will be opened in the next years.
  • The curriculum will be taken care of by two French native speakers
